The group was founded by their father Ng Teng Fong, who moved from China to Singapore in 1934 and came to be known as “The King of Orchard Road.” Their Hong Kong arm, Sino Group, is led by their older sibling Robert and his son Daryl, while Philip oversees the Singapore interests.
As a Christian enterprise, Far East Organization aims to be a community of love and a workplace of grace that welcomes Christians and non-Christians alike to work joyfully together. With the goal of building a garden of enterprise that endures (the vision of their late founder, Mr. Ng Teng Fong), they are working towards doing good business and aim to do good in business. They embrace the eternal truths of God’s Word. These truths are applied to their organisation as they believe that business is, after all, a part of life itself. Their business thrives on the solid foundation of their values and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Their core values being Business with Grace, Unity, Integrity, Love, Diligence are practised alongside the teachings of Jesus. Their Christian identity is integral to the brand of Far East Organization.
