The discussions took place during the official visit of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, who met with Mexican Minister of Economy Marcelo Luis Ebrard.

  • Both nations announced the formation of a UAE-Mexican Joint Business Council, a strategic platform to foster business ties and promote mutual investments.
  • The two countries also agreed on the framework to begin negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to building a future-focused partnership with Mexico, describing the relationship as one rooted in mutual respect and shared growth ambitions.

Additionally, Sheikh Abdullah held diplomatic talks with Mexican Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente, where they exchanged views on regional and global developments, and reiterated their support for international peace and security efforts.
