The 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant brought together 108 remarkable women from across the globe, culminating in a month-long celebration of diversity, talent, and impactful stories. From excelling in fast-track challenges like Top Model, Talent, Sports, Head-to-Head Challenge, Multimedia, and the esteemed Beauty with a Purpose initiative, Opal stood out for her grace, authenticity, and unwavering spirit.

The journey to the crown was fierce—narrowing from 108 contestants to 40 quarterfinalists, then to Top 10 finalists from each continent, followed by the final Top 5, then Top 2, and finally, one woman who won the world.

An emotional Opal, in her first words as Miss World, said the moment felt surreal and deeply moving—“Thailand has waited more than 70 years for this moment. I’m honoured beyond words.”

This historic win is not just a personal triumph for Opal, but a beacon of hope and inspiration for millions around the world. She now carries the torch of the Miss World legacy—uniting beauty with purpose on a global stage.

Chuangsri emerged as the winner among 107 national representatives from across the globe. This achievement is all the more special because it is Thailand’s first win at the Miss World pageant. India’s Nandini Gupta, who represented the country this year, was unable to make it to the Top 8 finalists. Krystyna Pyszkova, who won the Miss World 2024 title, was crowned in a ceremony also held in India – the first time in 28 years the event was hosted in the country. She had beaten Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon, Ache Abrahams of Trinidad and Tobago, and Lesego Chombo of Botswana to take the title, last year. In 2024, India’s Sini Shetty had made it to the Top 8 but missed out on a place in the Top 4. India has previously won the Miss World title six times, with Manushi Chhillar being the latest to wear the crown in 2017
